MBCNSW Run Day 29th January 2017 – UPDATE

Our Club Run Day for tomorrow January 29th is on but we cannot start engines or run boats until after 12 noon because of Rowing Selection Trials being conducted today and tomorrow morning.
However, we will try to utilise the time in the morning, to test setting up a retrievable buoy system for our Race Course. All helpers are welcome.
Hopefully, if successful, it will mean our Race Course can stay permanently set up and will only require one person and minimal time on a Run Day to release the retention system and have an accurate Race Course available for the day.

MBCNSW Run Day 15th January 2017 – UPDATE

There will be no Club Committee Members attending this Sunday, however, the Pond is still available to any Members who would like to run their boats. Please be advised the Rescue Boat will not be available to retrieve any dead boats and swimming to retrieve a boat is not allowed.

If you are planning to be there please  send a text message to James Kessing or reply to the facebook message

Christmas Fun Day

We had a good roll up yesterday for our Christmas Fun Day and once again, people who had a go at the Hot Lap, found out a lot about their ability to time their start effectively and how well their boat was setup for running tight on the buoys…….or not 🙂

Our Event Calendar for 2017 still has some dates waiting on confirmation by the SIRC, but dates for January and February are set. The dates are:
Jan 15th and 29th
Feb 12th and 26th

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Christmas and we’ll see you all in the new year, hopefully, with a retrievable buoy system installed to ensure we have an accurate Race Course available for all of our Run Days. This may require a few “working bees” so we will be looking for volunteers to help install and set up the course, watch this space!!
